SHORT RANGE OPERATORS CERTIFICATE OF PROFICIENCY (SROCP)
To operate a marine VHF radio, you must hold an operators’ license. The Short Range Operators Certificate of Proficiency (SROCP ) is the primary qualification. The SROCP course teaches you how to operate a marine VHF radio confidently and competently. You will become familiar with the typical situations you may encounter on the radio and you will learn about the rules and etiquette of marine radio.
